FiiO FH1 - The Tunesmith's Wistful Dream

Author:ezekiel_77

Sailing on a sea of indecision, the FiiO FH1 provides a package worthy of your attention. Consider the robust build quality, timeless design, fantastic ergonomics, two included cables and generous accessories (really, the hardcase is so good it's no joke)

Add that to an accessible signature that gets the fundamentals correct: properly tuned mids, smooth inoffensive treble, borderline basshead lows that pull in the crowds, and coherence rarely seen in hybrids at this level. FiiO did a damn fine job, and still managed to keep the price at a very respectable USD75. Applause, applause.

Review: FiiO FH1 Hybrid In-Ear Monitors

This is the best sub-$100 set of IEMs I’ve used to date, and almost runs the risk of overproducing and eating into FiiO’s own higher end range.

With the added sub-bass emphasis that the FH1 comes with, it feels to me that FiiO was aiming at the “Beats” generation. I would say they’ve exceeded their target, however, as the FH1’s clarity across the frequency range puts them in a tonal class apart from the Beats range.

Fiio FH1 Hybrid In-Ear Headphone Review

When it comes to value, Fiio honestly is a super strong contended in the world of portable Hi-Fi products. Generally speaking, their DAPs hold good bang-for-buck value, but their IEMs perhaps even more so.

In fact, judging from frequency response graphs posted online, you could argue that the FH1 actually has a more balanced signature than both the regular F9 and that of the F9 Pro. however, that’s not to say that it has a “flat” response – it’s still got a slight v-shape response – but it’s got a balanced signature with some added warmth. It’s pretty smooth, and enjoyable. So much so that, for everyday listening, I personally enjoy the sound of the FH1 more than that of the the entire F9-series. Sure, both F9 models do have a more apparent detail retrieval in the top end, but that aspect simply comes down to how those details are portrayed, rather than saying that they’re able to grab details that somehow go missing on the FH1. They’re there, just not quite so “in your face”. The bottom end is definitely boosted quite a bit more than in the F9-series, reaching in deep and hitting pretty hard. But when we consider sheer fidelity, then perhaps the low end is boosted just a little bit too much, which means that the bass area can bleed into the mids just a tad.

We were impressed with the F9 Pro as an excellent first entry into an audiophile sound; we think the FH1 will be just as impressive for bassheads. At just under $75, the FH1 is an excellent value.

For the FH1, however, it makes sense; the FH1 may cost less than the F9 Pro, but it's not a case of "better or worse." We find that, despite its shared family DNA, the FH1 stands on its own for a different musical experience.

The FH1 is the embodiment of musicality, offering a relaxed and easy-to-listen sound for hours and hours.

Besides the muscular bass I have an impression that the balanced armature emphasizes mids a little bit more that the higher notes. Thereby mids are more pronounced, capturing attention to throughout the song.

FIIO FH1. BALANCED HYBRID IEMS – REVIEW.

FH1 are in my opinion a very good product which is meant for people who like rich sound with very pronounced bass but still with clean natural reproduction of vocals.

Thinking about FiiO as about a brand you can feel even from a first moment when opening the box the attention to refinement, some details and somehow I got even that feel of a care for the customer from long term perspective reflecting in the quality of materials, accessories and quality of the product itself. It is nice and rare to see especially in this price range of this product.

REVIEW: FIIO FH1 – ALL ABOUT THE TONE

The FH1 contains an easier and more forgiving presentation together with a smooth and correct sounding mid range.

FiiO managed to get a great mid range performance from this IEM, thanks to the brass sound tube and Knowles BA driver right inside of the nozzle. Also, the bass hits a little harder and that’s a great thing for bass lovers.

FiiO FH1 Dual Hybrid IEM-- Smooth, Warm And Uber Comfortable

At USD 75.00, the FH1 is a real bargain, and I would absolutely recommend them, especially to those who like a touch of bass warmth with their music. I put these through my new objective ranking calculation module, and they scored incredible well.

The FH1 combines good build and design, fantastic ergonomics, and still maintains the inclusion of dual cables (balanced and SE).

The FiiO FH1 is an in-ear with great build quality, excellent ergonomics and fit, a beautiful, premium design, and good accessories for its price class.

One will not only find the in-ear, but also two sets of cables (1x single-ended 3.5 mm with in-line three-button remote control and microphone, 1x 2.5 mm TRRS), two sets of silicone ear tips (narrow and wide bore) in three different sizes, and last but not least a very sturdy carrying case (FiiO HB1) inside the cardboard box.

Обзор наушников FiiO FH1 — укрепление позиций

Author:Павел Дмитриев
Share This Review:

FiiO FH1 [recenzja]

Author:Maciej Sas
Share This Review:

A Trio of Fiio Goodies: The F9 Pro and FH1 Earphones, and the Q1 Mk II DAC/Headphone Amp

The bass diaphragm of FH1 is slightly larger than that of the F9 Pro, which provides slightly deeper bass, but the mid and high frequencies are handled by a single Knowles driver.

The two newest models include the F9 Pro and FH1 earphones, which retail respectively for $140 and $75, and offer a feature set and sound quality that rivals many competing models that retail for many multiples of hundreds of dollars more.
